UN-CTAUN PARTNERSHIP

CTAUN’s volunteers have built an invaluable network of teachers, international experts, and United Nations advisors and are expanding their efforts in these areas:

• Partnership with the Outreach Division of the UN Department of Global Communications (UNDGC) (Formerly UN Department of Public Information – UNDPI) to promote the UN Academic Impact initiative, a program involving universities around the world in advancing the purposes of the United Nations;
• Cooperative work with the UNDGC to promote and identify teaching resources throughout the United Nations system;
• Collaboration with the UN Foundation to expand our conferences and workshops to other parts of the United States;
• Development of our website to provide educators at all levels with curriculum materials devoted to global understanding;
• Support of educational projects;
• Annual meeting with our Advisory Council made up of UN Ambassadors and other representatives of the UN, the media and NGO organizations.
